COCKYTALK UPDATE

Wow. Cockytalk is so concerned with their "club" they refuse to allow posters to put links to the LSU video on their site. All I wanted was an apology but no... As a side note, this clearly proves my point about Cockytalk becoming more and more like Gamecock central and being more concerned about things other than Gamecock Football.

Not mad. That isn't the issue. I was a big supporter of cockytalk. Especially, in the beginning. I helped promote them. However, they started going back on their original premise and it made me angry.

please enlighten me on their original premise...i swear i'm not being sarcastic, but that was the first site i found looking for sc football info...every year i just *think* i'm a fan of college football (SC first and foremost) and every year i get more and more obsessed with the whole ncaa experience...and btw i loved/hated that lsu video....loved the fact someone else saw all those dirty plays/hated the fact that there were so many...i saw the clip earlier of lou holtz replaying the fake punt and it was like a shot to the heart (just put on the ND hat already, we know you still love them even at 0-4), but spurrier's smirk on the sideline after the trick played out("damn it, i was going to do that") was classic...i do think spurrier was channeling a little holtz in that lsu game with the unsuccessful running over and over and over......

Chuck Hoskins started Cockytalk around the same time I started the cool chicken (the original blog). Chuck and I talked via EMAIL quite a bit about sites and what they were doing wrong. Cockytalk truly benefited from two things.

1.) People were upset with Gamecock central's no linking policy and Chuck Hoskins swore he would never have one of those.

2.) I was posting videos of Gamecock highlights but didn't really have the time or server space to host them all. I talked to Chuck Hoskins about it and the "video page" was born. Shortly after that, Cockytalk started to grow by leaps and bounds.

The reason I have an issue with them at this point is a.) their moderators are asses and b.) they have a "no linking" policy unless you are a member of their "program."

Although I helped build and promote that site's membership in the beginning and never once took down a link to their site, they started removing mine. So, I called them out on it and instead of saying "I'm sorry" and fixing it, they banned me.
