Garnet and Gold? No wonder you have been so down on the Gamecocks for so long... you have been watching the wrong team. Do you even watch South Carolina Football? This isn't a simple typo...
Is The State going to have to print a correction?
"We are sorry but Ron Morris the guy who bashes and talks about South Carolina Football for many years stated that South Carolina's colors were Garnet and Gold. They are actually Garnet and Black. A two year old could tell you that." 
As I am sure they will probably correct it directly on the site, here is a picture of the original.
