DOTH THOU CHALLENGE ME?
Someone decided to take exception to my demands that Tyrone Nix be sent packing. So, I have to school them a little.
Here is the sum of their argument:
blanket statements like 'we have not been able to stop the run. Against anyone' make you look less than credible. As (someone else) pointed out, we shut GA up pretty good this year [although it seems like decades ago now] and we shut Stumble & Bumble down pretty well a year ago.
Here is my response:
#1.) Georgia played horribly against us.
#2.) 128 yards was only 50 short of their season average per game (178)
#3.) Both Auburn and KENTUCKY! held GA to less rushing yards this past season.
#4.) We gave up 209 yards rushing a game in 2007.
#5.) Who was worse in the sec against the rush? NO ONE.
#6.) Who was worse in all of College Football? Only 10 teams. Memphis, Northern Illinois, Toledo, LA Lafayette, Minnesota, North Texas, Nebraska, Army, San Diego St, and UAB #7.) What about the last two years? 147 yards allowed a game rushing in 2006. Only Vandy, Missippi and Kentucky were worse). 171 yars allowed a game in 2005. Only Kentucky was worse.
#8.) Well that is not fair... check the year before Spurrier came here... Ok. in 2004. 137.9 yards a game allowed. We were ahead of Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi, Mississippi St, Vanderbilt and Kentucky.
#9.) I could give a crap how credible you think I am. The facts are the facts.
Thank you for playing... but you are wrong.
