FIRST 3 GAMES COVERED

Rock on rocker. The first three games of the 2008 football season will be televised. More on that:

Each of the first three University of South Carolina football games scheduled this fall will be nationally televised, it was announced today.

"It appears we will be one of the most televised teams in the country again this season and we will try our best to compete like one of the best teams in the country," said Carolina Head Coach Steve Spurrier.

The Gamecocks' season and home opener against North Carolina State, scheduled for Thursday, August 28, will be televised nationally by ESPN, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The Gamecocks and Wolfpack have not met since the 1999 season. NC State holds a slim 26-25-4 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1900.

The Gamecocks' conference and road opener at Vanderbilt, set for Thursday, September 4, will also be televised nationally by ESPN. Game time from Nashville, Tenn. is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. South Carolina holds a 14-3 advantage in the all-time series with the Commodores, but the Gamecocks will be looking for revenge following a 17-6 loss to VU in 2007.

CBS Sports will televise the Georgia at South Carolina game, set for Saturday, September 13. That national broadcast is slated for a 3:30 p.m. ET kick. The Georgia contest will mark the fourth straight year that CBS has televised a Gamecock football game and will be their first appearance in Columbia since 2005 when they carried the Alabama-South Carolina tilt. Georgia leads the all-time series 44-14-2, but the Gamecocks won by a 16-12 count last year in Athens.

The Gamecocks had seven national television exposures in 2007, appearing three times each on ESPN and on ESPN2 and once on CBS.

Additional televised games will be announced as they become available.

We beat georgia's ass last year stalker. Again, seek help please.

Yeah for your only meaningful win, jackass. Again, get another job because honest, unbiased sports writing is not your calling.

Note: I do this for fun. Not for money. I don't need the money.

How sad for you. UGA got it's ass handed to it by a mediocre team last year. Who knows what UGA would have done if not for the Gamecocks spanking that ass.

Honest? I am honest to what I feel like writing. After all, it's my site. I can write whatever the hell I want. The bigger question is this: If you dislike the site so much... why are you compelled to come here and read it?

Ubiased? Who ever said I claimed to be unbiased. I am biased.

I tell you what... If you ever want to drive down here from New York... and have a conversation about all of this... I would be willing to honestly and with out biase explain to you face to face what a complete tool you are.

As I said before, I really think you need to seek counseling. It is unhealthy to be this obsessed with another person. I know I am cute, smart and funny as hell... but I don't swing that way and you should find another object of desire.

Oh yeah... your ugly.

No, that's alright I'll stay up here in beautiful upstate New York posting on this sad excuse of a blog, while you rot in the confines of that shithole Columbia, South Carolina. I comment on this site because I have the extra 10 minutes, it's amusing to me, and enjoy getting a rise out of a jackass such as yourself. It is your blog and you can post all of the slanted nonsense you choose to write, although I find it funny that someone could be as misinformed as you with regards to college football. Part of the reason why I care so much is because you embody all of the delusional Cock fans I argued with while I was in Charleston, the kind that forget how sad the Cocks really are and talk smack after a 6 point win over a sad North Carolina team. They certainly weren't talking much smack after the Clemson game or throughout their 5 game skid; some even left the stadium early as most Cock fans are prone to do. I also enjoy watching you contradict yourself too. (Reference my last response to the LSU video blog- the one that you cowardly chose not to post- for examples of this).

By the way, I find it amusing that you comment on my looks when I have a good feeling you've never seen a photo of me. Keep blogging away, "cool chicken", I enjoy it, and at least you'll always be "cool" in your own mind.

Yay. I am very glad that you choose to come here and read the blog as often as possible. I must be doing something right.

You see my goal is to get under the skin of Clemson and GA fans. I like doing that... and I do it well.

So thank you for your determination to read me as often as possible. Stay tuned... I will telling you how overrated both Clemson and Georgia are... very soon.

Good, I look forward to reading it, and I will adjust my comments accordingly depending on how ludicrous it is. I will come back to this blog often for a good laugh at what the delusional Cock universe is thinking, and because I do enjoy arguing with someone with amateur debating skills. However, I was relieved to find out that Spurrier set his goals for this coming football season a little bit lower than last season, where he foolishly promised the Cock faithful an SEC championship. Although it was funny to watch Steve "the Douche" Spurrier eat that humble pie at the end of the season after his Cocks got blasted by Florida and Arkansas, lose to their arch rival, and then get denied a bowl bid, dealing with the smack talking coming from the arrogant Cock faithful -who might I add have nothing to be arrogant about considering the athletic mediocrity established at USC since its inception- was nauseating. At least this season, they won't get their hopes up too high while at the same time keeping the unfounded trash talk to a minimum.

I'll be taking a break for awhile Chuck from my commenting, but keep on blogging and commenting; I'll be sure to address the new collection of nonsense when I return.

Chuck 1:43 PM

Again... despite everything you just said... all the "debating"... we still beat UGA last year. So... beat us this year, and I will stop talking about UGA for another year. But until, then... these poor pathetic Gamecock fans will keep talking smack.

Thank you for helping me keep the stats up on the blog.

Cheers stalker.
