While, I don't normally use the type of language he uses, I can completely understand his issue. Unfortunately, most Gamecock websites are going in that direction these days. Including the hypocrites over at Cockytalk.

Wow. Cockytalk is so concerned with their "club" they refuse to allow posters to put links to the LSU video on their site. All I wanted was an apology but no... As a side note, this clearly proves my point about Cockytalk becoming more and more like Gamecock central and being more concerned about things other than Gamecock Football.

A message from SPUR at Cockytalk.
1) I have not the slightest clue what you are talking about with your link. I never removed anything nor did anyone else. If you are part of our link-exchange, you are freely allowed to post your link.
2) Please...Please...spare me the comedy of you trying to convince me or anyone else that you helped build this site. I already laughed hard today when I watched a re-run of Britney Spears trying to perform at the VMA's last night.
3) The fact that you thought your signature was some sort of "payback" is comical in itself. Are you 15? Seriously? Who does that and thinks they WON'T be banned? Good for Chuck. I would have banned your ass too.
I will continue deleting each and every post of yours until you EMAIL Chuck and settle this all out.
You were banned for a reason and I was glad to see your ass go with that sorry ass signature.
Now the message was delivered well. He managed to sprinkle some thin insults in there (nothing I couldn't shrug off) but did he really have to go as far as calling me an ass? And why not get your facts straight while you are at it. The link to the Cool Chicken was removed and replaced with "no links in sig." All this despite the fact that I never once took down their link.
Chuck this is your ambassador? Your super moderator? Come on man, you and I have known each for a long time. Why sick this pee-on on me? Oh and I have already sent you an email.
Let me point out the very notion of why Cockytalk was such a hit. It was everything Gamecock central was. A place to go and share. Gamecock central's downfall is that it regularly deletes content that people might like to read. If Cockytalk is going to do the same, then how far has it fallen?
Look, this isn't important enough for me to post about it again, so I am done with it.
The bottom line is that Cockytalk isn't what it use to be. Hopefully, for the fans and members it will get back there one day. You know where people love the gamecocks even when they are losing? I am kind of sick of the posters bashing SC anyways.
UPDATE:
I got a message that I had a private message over there so I went to check it and...
CURSES BANNED AGAIN!
At least the could have spelled WILL the right way.
UPDATE 2:
Chuck took the coward's way and instead of responding to me like a man would, he blocked my IP address. I could easily get around that, but it not worth my time. It is just very rude. It makes me sad that I ever endorsed them.
By the way have you seen the new Hypocrite Bobble Head Doll?

Proving my point...
Deja Vu! 4 years ago when I decided to speak out against Gamecock Central's policy on preventing links from your posts/signatures and charging for free news, I got banned. As I have mentioned before, the popular website: COCKYTALK was started at about the same time and Chuck Hoskins was so convincing when he said that he never wanted to be like them. Recently, COCKYTALK started removing links from signatures and of course, with me being me, I spoke out against it. I compared this move to the one Gamecock Central pulled.
When I tried to log in today, I got this message: (you are going to have to click it to read it.)
Thus proving my point. Cockytalk has turned in to what it swore it would never be, A Gamecock Central knock-off. How long before they start charging you?
-The Cool Chicken
A few years back, a gamecock message board got it's start by being the anti-gamecock central. You see a lot of people were frustrated with gamecock central and their silly policies regarding posting links. I was one of them. Oh and we all hated paying for free information.
This was about the same time that the original COOL CHICKEN (I am the same guy just a different site) was starting up. You may recall those wonderful days...
Anyway, along comes cockytalk. Great idea. Let's just have a strictly fan run message board for the south carolina gamecocks. Anything goes. It worked well, I promoted the hell out of cockytalk and up until today, I still did.
Now, one of the things that really got cockytalk running was their video pages and even though I am sure they will disagree, I was the first person to post a gamecock video tribute on their site. Shortly after I did so, there was a literal dam burst of hits, links and videos. I recall emailing back and forth with Chuck (the guy who runs cockytalk trivia: I am a Chuck as well) about getting a place set up to host gamecock videos. I was not ready at the time to do it through any of my sites but Chuck was and did.
I was pretty proud of my fellow gamecocks charge in to the world of internet fandom. In reality both Cockytalk and the Cool Chicken took off.
Now it has been awhile since I was able to post over there on a regular basis but when I uploaded some good old fashion footage from the ULL game, I thought I would jaunt on over there and post a link to it. I also stuck one in my signature. I decided to stop by today and my signature had been replaced with: no links in sig.
How far we do fall. I know it is not a big deal in the scheme of things but it is again another example of people getting something and forgetting where they came from.
Another thing I noticed was the tone on the board. The posters tend to bash our players just as much as they bash the rivals players. I just don't understand that.
Cockytalk got it's start by linking all over the place to attract visitors. I helped them do it. I had links to Cockytalk on The Cool Chicken and a link to cockytalk right beside my signature on most of the other message boards I visited.
With all this in mind, I wish them the best and I am sure cockytalk will be fine with out my support but I just can't give them the good old cool chicken badge of approval and all the cool points it carries.
I hate it but that is life.
Well... that is all I have to say about that.
