I wrote that I did not want South Carolina to go to a bowl this year. I just do not feel as if the team played well enough to play in the off season. Plus, I would really hate for us to go out there and lose another game. I know that is a "the bowl is half empty" way to look at it, but hey... show me how I should feel differently.
In any case, if looks like Florida Atlantic may have made the deciscion for us. Florida Atlantic upset Troy and put them well ahead of us in the bowl selection process. With Alabama almost a shoe in for the last SEC bowl tie-in... it looks like the team will be staying home this year.
As much as I love to watch my Gamecocks play football, I do not want to watch them play another game this year.
A 6 and 6 team has no right to be in a bowl game. Plus, with the way things are going, we can end the season now with a 500 record verson going in to 2008 with a losing record.
DO NOT ACCEPT A BOWL BID
