WE ARE CAROLINA

ARE THEY KIDDING?

"We know we did," Balmer said. "I think South Carolina knows, too. I mean, they're a great team. They came out, they fought hard; we fought hard. It was a dogfight. ... I think they know — they know in their hearts they got away with one."

"I feel like we left it all out there," said Tar Heels wideout Hakeem Nicks, who had a game-high eight catches for 114 yards. "They didn't get the best of us, but it just didn't go our way."

Point Blank: Coach Spurrier had an 18 point lead on you at half time. He came in the second half and called (in his owns words) a very conservative game. In other words, he took his foot off the gas. If he would have kept his foot in it, South Carolina would have racked up at least 38 points on you.

North Carolina you got spanked. We are the real CAROLINA!

S. Carolina VS N. Carolina

Upset alert? Are you kidding me? Yes I have read the Sporting News article which is claiming that N. Carolina is going to upset S. Carolina this weekend in Chapel Hill. I call bullshit.

N. Carolina had a decent victory over Miami this past weekend and in the past this might have raised a few eyebrows but Miami is nowhere near the team they used to be. Currently Miami is ranked 7th in the ACC on offense, 6th on defense and dead last on Special Teams. The point is that Miami has a storied tradition but that tradition has been marred by the last couple of years. North Carolina on the other hand is in their first year of rebuilding under Butch Davis and even though I do believe that eventually Butch will get NC on track, they overachieved in beating even a miserable Miami team. N. Carolina lost to E. Carolina for goodness sake.

S. Carolina on the other hand is running on all cylinders. They stomped the Heisman trophy candidate lead Kentucky wild cats and their amazing offense and sit atop the SEC east. S. Carolina beat down a very good MSU team and won a hard fought game against Georgia. Their only loss of the season came to the number one team in the country and that was closer than the score.

Congratulations on N. Carolina on their win over Miami but that is not going to translate in to a victory of S. Carolina.

This weekend when the real Carolina comes to Chapel Hill, you are going to see a devastating ass kicking delivered by Norwood and company. I would be shocked if N. Carolina scored more than 10 points in this game. I would be equally shocked to see S. Carolina score less than 35.

My prediction; S. Carolina 35 N. Carolina 10.
